imenica
IPA: / ˈdɪskoʊ ˈmjuːzɪk /

Množina: disco musics

Značenje:

International style of dance music of the 1970s with a heavily emphasized beat, derived from funk. It was designed to be played in discotheques rather than performed live; hence the production was often more important than the performer, and drum machines came to dominate.

German producer Giorgio Moroder (1941– ) created numerous disco hits, many of them with US singer Donna Summer (1948– ), including ‘Love to Love You, Baby’ 1975 and ‘I Feel Love’ 1977. US producer Nile Rodgers (1952– ) was a member of disco group Chic (1977–83), whose hits include ‘Everybody Dance’ 1978 and ‘Good Times’ 1979. Disco music was celebrated in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever.
